ABOUT BRITTANY ERWIN PHOTOGRAPHY
Hi! I'm Brittany Erwin, a photographer based out of Indianapolis Indiana. We have SO many gorgeous locations here in the city but I also love to travel for unique and fun locations, especially to Columbus, Brown county, and Chicago.
I am absolutely a nerd, geek, and possibly even a bit of a dork. You can find me at GenCon almost every year, at an arcade bar on date nights or just hanging out at home with my husband and son, where they are probably beating me at one of my own games. We also have a crazy pit/boxer mix, Ripley, named for the Alien franchise, and 9 crazy chickens(Moo, Moe, Snow, Cookie, Ginger… their names are just not that creative).
For photography style, I would describe mine as posed photo-journalistic. I love to find stunning light and let the magic happen. Fun and intimate moments during a session are the best and allow for some fun memories while capturing stunning portraits in great light.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How long have you been a wedding photographer?
A: I photographed my very first wedding all the way back in 2010 right after graduating from Herron School of Art with a BFA in photography and took my business full-time in 2012.
Q: What do you wear to photograph weddings?
A: Typically, I wear either a dress or black pants and a formal top. If you want me to dress up like a storm trooper, we can talk about it, I might just miss a few shots.
Q: Do you offer albums/prints in any packages?
A: Yes, the standard and comprehensive coverage options include an album and the comprehensive includes a lovely canvas. You can also add on prints, canvases, and albums in a variety of sizes and mounting options.
Q: Does it cost extra to have the images edited?
A: Nope! That's included and ALL images you receive will be color corrected and edited so they are ready to print.
Q: What is required to book my date?
A: A 50% retainer and signed contract are both required to book your date.
Q: Can we meet before I book?
A: Absolutely! Shoot me an email or visit my contact page to set up a meeting.
Q: What is the first look?
A: It is when the couple sees each other for the first time before the ceremony. This really streamlines a wedding day and allows couples to move directly from the ceremony to the reception.
Q: How would you describe your shooting style?
A: I use a mix of posed and photo-journalistic. I love to find amazing light and then get natural interactions. As a bit of an awkward person myself, I understand the awkwardness of being in front of a camera, so I'll definitely help you out on what to do with your hands.
Q: Do you use flash for any of your photography?
A: Yes, however, I will never use a flash during your ceremony.
Q: How long before I receive my photos after my wedding?
A: Typically about 8 weeks for the full gallery, but sneak peeks go up on the blog a week or two after your wedding.
Q: How many photos should I expect from my wedding day?
A: Typically, 500 – 600 edited images.
Q: Do you shoot with film or digitally?
A: I currently shoot digital only and LOVE the flexibility that allows.
